Well done Detroit Riverfront. The new Mt. Elliot Splash Park is well worth the wait. Frankie and I took the kids down there this afternoon. We were all able to let loose for two fabulous and exhausting hours.
Jack and Nella splashed and climbed all over the pirate themed water feature while Hudson enjoyed his own little puddle safely to the side. The open layout allowed Frankie and I to sit back and chat it up with the other parents there. A place where kids can play and parents can socialize. Yes, please.
As soon as we came home the kids all crashed. Frankie sent me a text that Nell is still sleeping and then asked if I would want to go back after nap time. Ha. I think that about sums up how we feel about Detroit’s newest park.
