Happy Father’s Day! Okay, so I am a couple days late, but my appreciation for the dads in my world is still strong. (Love you Ryan, Dad and John.)
This weekend Ryan and I were at a friend’s wedding in Indiana. While we were away, my dad worked on a TOP SECRET project with Jack. Pretty amazing.
The TOP SECRET project involved drilling and…
…the use of a nail gun. Jack was in carpentry heaven.
So proud. Here he is displaying his finished product. Well, almost finished.
After some painting and sanding, it was time to wrap Daddy’s gift.
Jack loves to give gifts. But instead of telling people he has a surprise he says prize (shorter and gets the point across.) As we got out of the car, he shouted “I have a prize for you Daddy!” He was so excited to give him his gift, we couldn’t even make it in the door.
So proud. Ryan loves his birdhouse and Jack loves telling people all about it. “No, no, Jack maaaade it.”
Not sure why he starts off sentences with “No, no.” No one was disputing this claim. Even when you agree with him, he says “no, no” and then repeats what you said.
Example:
Me: “Jack, did you make Daddy a birdhouse?”
Jack: “No, no, Jack maaaade it.”
Probably my fault. I’m sure I use the word “no” far too often. What’s a girl to do?
We closed out our visit to Lita and Grandpa’s house with some celebratory sword fighting in the front yard. Jack was the victor.
Happy Father’s Day!
With love from Detroit,
Callie
