Jack joined me for a morning Dr. appointment in Midtown. Everything looks and sounds great. After listening to the baby’s “heart beep” and checking to see that he is, indeed, head down (good boy) the day was ours.
So, what do you do when you have 80 degree weather and are on your way home from Midtown? Stop off and treat yourself to an iced coffee at Germack. The fun doesn’t stop there. We went across the street and into the giant open sheds of Eastern Market. We ran and ran until Jack was a sweaty fool.
Jack and I paused for a quick selfie. I love this picture of the two of us. But it does make me wonder, how did this boy come out so, so white? Will my next son have darker features? How crazy will it be if Baby #2 has dark skin, eyes and hair like me? Either way, they will both always look just the way they are supposed to and be the two most handsome little men in my whole world.
Speaking of handsome, check out Jack’s new haircut. What. A. Stud.
In completely unrelated news, here is a photo of my niece, Eve. Isn’t she beautiful? Here she is on a picnic with her mommy. I think they may have been at the Duke Gardens. She was just in Michigan a couple of weeks ago and we were able to spend lots and lots of quality time with her. I love that Jack has a cousin so close in age to him (2 months apart.) They are going to be life long buddies.
As always, I appreciate your tolerance of my randomness đŸ™‚
With love from Detroit,
Callie

We loved seeing Jack! Eve talks about him often.
