Monday night was the Grand Opening of the Cincinnati Horseshoe Casino. A “black tie optional” affair that gave me the chance to borrow a super sequined dress from Rent the Runway.
We have driven through Cincinnati a dozen times. On our way to here or there but never really stopped to check out the city. I am impressed. The downtown area has such charm and history. There were great shopping and restaurants. I wish I had more time there to explore.
We stayed at the 21C Museum Hotel; strange in the most awesome way. There was artwork everywhere that was thought provoking but with a sense of humor. In the showers, random body parts are coming out of the tile. There were large yellow penguins that would show up in random places, the elevator, your breakfast table, outside your hotel room door.
Ryan and I had a great time in Cincinnati and look forward to spending some time there on our own. Truly something I never thought I would say.
