My craft closet is a glorious beast. Glorious because it holds such delightful surprises such as a shiny new face paint kit. Beast because it is so cluttered and disorganized that I had no idea the face paint was in there.
Jack is the one who ventured into the disheveled closet on a rainy Monday. “Paint Mommy?” Why not? “What would you like Mommy to draw?” I asked. “Dragon” was his obvious answer.
When I finished he grabbed the brush. “Mommy’s turn.” …Uh oh.
Now this could go one of two ways. I could end up with a blob on my face or I could end up with a blob on my face, clothes and vanity. Oh well. I had to take the risk that all would end well.
Sure enough I wound up with a beautiful piece of face art that Jack so lovingly named “Da Boo” (translation: “The Blue”). Fantastic way to spend a rainy day indoors.
With love from Detroit,
Callie
