In my earlier days (4 months ago) when I began my life as a blogger, I started with a post titled It’s okay. It was really just to reassure me that the weird things I do are somewhat “normal” but the response was great. Apparently my strange habits are yours too. So here we go. Round two. Let’s see if you agree with the following.
It’s okay…
- It’s okay to tell yourself “It must be good for me. It’s organic.” Even when you absolutely understand that organic ice cream topped with organic pop tarts are not the same as a mixed green salad.
- It’s okay to crave Fall weather. Even if it is simply for the pleasure of breaking out what are sure to be your favorite shoes, sweaters or scarves for Autumn. Please know that my new leopard print flats (similar here) will be my Autumn staple. Like a North Face Denali is to a college student (or was. I’m not sure what the kids wear these days.)
- It’s okay to spend an entire morning importing your favorite CDs from 15+ years ago. Bush anyone? Sheryl Crow? Perhaps a little Bryan Adams?
- It’s okay if you believe Disney songs make for the best road trip music and if they are the only songs that make you want to sing with all the voices of the mountain. (Also okay for road trips, Pringles®. And turning said Pringles® into duck lips and still thinking this is hi-larious.)
What are the things you have to reassure yourself are okay?
With love from Detroit,
Callie
