Ryan and I met up with friends at Green Dot Stables on Friday night. I had looked forward to the dinner all week. I had only ever heard rave review on the bar/restaurant but didn’t really know much about it. So, you can imagine my surprise and delight when I found out the menu was filled with sliders, french fries and had the most scrum-diddly-umptious s’mores for dessert. (I feel like this is becoming a food blog with all of my talk about eating. Obviously I have a passion for this topic.)
We each ordered 3 sliders and some mac-n-cheese and fries for the table (cajun, ranch and truffle). Dan said he had been eating light all day in preparation for this meal. I suggest you do the same before visiting because at $2-3 per item, you could order one of everything on the menu.
Pretty sure this place will be a staple for our little family of three. Fantastic food, prices and atmosphere. What’s not to like?
Before heading home, we made a stop at our friend/neighbor’s for a night cap. No spirits necessary, Ryan and Jared began a Billy Joel sing along.
Oh, the perfect way to end a perfect evening.
With love from Detroit,
Callie
