Food Trucks

What a great idea. Whoever thought of having gourmet food trucks peppered through big cities deserves a medal. Bravo!

Tuesday there was a gathering of food trucks from 4-7 at Eastern Market. Auntie Hana was in town and we knew just where to go for our supper. Our goal was to eat so much we would have to roll home and I have to say, mission accomplished.

As always, El Guapo did not disappoint. But, the surprise favorite was Concrete Cuisine. Not just saying that because the chef flirted with me and gave me free sweet potato fries (he knew the way to my heart.) And it is not because he used the line “do I know you from somewhere” as he made eyes at me. No, no, no. They were the winners because of their AMAZING fried pickles and the fact that the sweet potato fries were covered in cinnamon and tasted like elephant ears. YUM!

The plan was to close out with the Mac’n Cheese truck but there was no room I tell you, no room at all. We took our roly poly selfs home and crashed on the couch for the rest of the night. Sweet success.

Be sure to bring your appetite and check out the Eastern Market Truck Stop when they are back in September.

Remind dad and I and we’ll meet you there. Sounds yummy

PS- how come I have to enter my email and name all the time now?
    Didn’t have to before.

We love Concrete Cuisine when it comes to our office. Not only is the food fantastic but the name is appropriate as I work at the American Concrete Institute! Sweet potato fries are the best. In fact they are coming to our office tomorrow!
