Our house is old. Really old. Just the way we like it. But come 100 degree + days, we wish we had modern amenities like AC.
We are not completely without. We do have a large unit in the playroom. It cools the third floor and pumps cold air down into the master. So, when dinner time came and it was too hot to cook, we ordered Pizza Papalis and set up a playroom picnic.
Jack thought this was brilliant. Playing and eating at the same time. Wow!
