Red Cross — Part 1

If supporting a charity organization means amazing venue, music and food then sign me up. Last night I attended an event for the Red Cross of Southeastern Michigan. Scavolini by Cucina Moda donated the space and I spent most of the night deciding which Italian counter tops and cabinets would some day be mine.

The Nicole New Trio added to the ambiance of the evening with their music. Nicole New is a young performer who sings all over Southeastern Michigan. I’m going to be sure to catch her again soon. She performs happy hour at the Jazz Cafe Tuesday thru Friday. Sounds like a date night!

Now, let’s talk food. If you are going to have an event catered in the Detroit area, you really should check out Gypsy Kitchen. Their food is Vegan (you won’t miss the meat), organically grown and AMAZING!!! I think I ate 50 spinach artichoke toasts, 32 chocolate coconut bites, 20 helpings of kale salad, 43 stuffed mushrooms and 27 blood orange sorbets. Seriously though, the food was phenomenal and the company is based out of Detroit. What more could you ask for?

With love from Detroit,

Callie
