Okay, okay. Before you begin to hem and haw, you should know, I like my in-laws. And not in the “I know they are going to read this later” kind of way. I genuinely enjoy their company. They are the perfect mixture of goofy, thoughtful and warm with a delightful twist of sarcasm.
Memorial weekend was spent in Tawas, Michigan. I had never been before but the hole family rented a giant bunkhouse to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa’s 60th wedding anniversary (amazing, right?)
And so… to Tawas we went.
As soon as Jack got out of the car he bolted for the open field. There was a great path through the woods, where Jack would look up at all the trees and whisper “wow.”
The weekend consisted of all your typical “Up North” activities, eating until you burst, Oberon, Euchre, campfire, Yahtzee, naps, dancing in the rain, olde-timey mustache photos. You know, the usual.
Why is it that something as silly as a faux mustachio can make you want to behave so serious?
With love from Detroit,
Callie

One of my favorite things is when Eve whispers “wow”. It’s almost always at something “adults” would take for granted but is definitely deserving of such distinction. We are off to Sea World, I’m hoping for a lot of “wows” today.
Love the stache look!
These are great photos Callie! Really love the stache photo! Great!!!! You’re making a wonderful history book for Jack!
