I read an article on outdoor schools in the Seattle area. In the piece a mom said that the dirtier her son’s clothes were at the end of the day the richer his learning experience must have been. While I’m not sure I want to enroll Jack in this particular school, I can agree with this parent’s philosophy.
The more I let Jack interact with nature, the better. He loves to lift rocks and look for bugs, smell the flowers, try to somersault in the grass, play with sticks, climb and jump off of whatever he can find and study leaves and seeds found on the ground.
He gets pretty darn filthy and I have to be honest, I love it.
With love from Detroit,
Callie

From the looks of it, having a toddler is the secret to weight loss. He is a madman and you are in great shape, coincidence? I think not.
PS your yard is adorable.
Thanks Ashleigh. He is a wild man. There is no doubt about that.
Who is your photog?
I love them all!
