Guns Make Me Cry.

The last time I shot a gun, I was 15 and my grandpa made me. He said everyone had to know how to shoot. Shaking and sweating, I took the shotgun and started to cry. Grandpa didn’t let up and so I pulled the trigger.

Well, today was a little different. I still have incredible anxiety about holding a gun, but at least this time there were no tears.

A group from Ryan’s office assembled for a self defense course. We learned what to do in case of a carjacking, how to disarm a robber, protect our homes and shoot an intruder.

Sure I was nervous, sweaty, shaky and nauseous but I also felt a little bit empowered. It was good to know that if necessary I would do whatever it took to protect my family.

With that said, I still am not sure about my stance on owning a gun. Thoughts?

I so am the same way! I finally gave in and told Josh he could take me to shot a gun… I’m not sure how I feel about it yet! Nice work, Cal!
