Ryan and I are having another baby!!! (Guess the title gave that away.)
Baby #2 is due in early August. We are so happy to bring a new member into the family. I cannot wait to have a squishy little baby to squeeze and snuggle.
Not sure if we are having a boy or girl but we plan on finding out ahead of time. I’m not patient enough to wait. As of now, I have no idea. I keep having dreams about a baby girl with Jack’s coloring. She even has a name in the dreams. Still I cannot escape the feeling that we are having a boy. So my subconscious says girl and my conscious says boy. The good news is that one of them is right.
I feel well BUUUUT I am mean. MEAN, MEAN, MEAN!!! A side effect I did not have with Jack (maybe it is a girl.) I am constantly annoyed and my poor husband seems to be the recipient of all my hostility. Thankfully my doctor said this will pass…when I give birth. In the meantime, I am making an effort to do nice things for Ryan and remind him that he is the love of my life. Did any of you ever experience this? SIDE NOTE: Ryan just read this paragraph and said “the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.”
Jack is a sweetheart. He came with me to a doctors appointment and said we were there to listen to the baby’s “heart beep.” When I asked what he thought it would sound like, he said “a chicken.” I think he came to this conclusion because I said we were “checking” the baby’s heartbeat at the doctor.
During the ultrasound, the big-brother-to-be sat right by my side and cooed at the screen “that’s mommy’s baaaaby.” My heart absolutely melted. “That’s Mommy, Daddy and Jack’s baby.” I corrected.

@LindaStaley I have SUCH baby fever. I already have the nursery painted and dream of kissing squishy little cheeks.

Congrats Callie! I’m due July 7th with my first…a boy! I have to remind myself to be nice every day because I seem to be getting annoyed more than usual. My students are taking good care of me though! Hope you are feeling well.
Yay Reba!!! So happy for you and Cliff. Thank you for letting me know I am not the only one. After posting I thought a little more about my last pregnancy. We were still in NY and Ryan was working insane hours. Maybe the fact that I never saw him was why I wasn’t really annoyed with him. Who knows. Either way, I wish the very best for Cliff and Ryan during coming months.

It’s all kinds of interesting stories about what women go through when they’re pregnant, or sometimes, even after the baby’s born. They might have done a story on becoming mean. Or if not, they might do a story on you!

What wonderful news! I am so excited for you and Jack will be a great big brother! This may mean no Case/Sullivan lake reunion this summer. We will have to make it up summer 2014 🙂
