Really there were only two Greeks out of the lot of us but the title still works.
Earlier this winter we said goodbye to Ashley and Jonathan as they were leaving for a year in Austin, TX. What better way to say “antío sas” (“goodbye” according to my google search) than a night in Greektown?

Jonathan made reservations at the new restaurant Santorini. We started with a few drinks at the bar (cranberry and soda water for this gal) and moved on to a feast that left us plump and happy. The food was yummy and fresh but, more notably, the service was fantastic. This is not always the case in Detroit, so we were pleasantly surprised.

Seeing as gluttony is the best sin of all, we couldn’t leave Greektown without a visit to Astoria Pastry Shop. After we ate our ice cream, rice krispie treats, cookies and more, we were beat.
Now, we could have gone to the Casino from here. We could have hit another bar to listen to live music. We could have gone dancing. The Greektown possibilities are plentiful. But no. In our fully induced food comas we parted ways and crawled into our beds before midnight. Parenthood, sweet parenthood.
Farewell Ashley and Jonathan. So happy you are enjoying Austin and I am loving your new blog.
With love from Detroit,
Callie
