Due date came and went and here we are playing the waiting game. I have been going to acupuncture, massaging my ankles, eating spicy foods and whatever else I can to induce labor. (Everything but castor oil. That’s just gross.) No luck. This boy is comfy cozy and on his own schedule. Perhaps a sign of his personality. I will be sure to remind him of his stubborn nature when he is older.
In the meantime, I have mentally changed my due date from August 12 to August 23. This has helped a great deal with my sanity. So instead of staying home and moping, I have been able to get out and enjoy my little family of three.
We have been all over the map (the map south of 8 Mile.) Enjoying all that Detroit summers have to offer. In fact, I am writing this post while we picnic in Lafayette Park. We have been to Eastern Market, Recycle Here, Belle Isle, Rivard Plaza, the sand at Campus Martius, Downtown Detroit Days, Tashmoo Biergarten, El Barzon and Mercury Bar. All this just to keep my mind off of fact that the baby has shown no signs that he is ready to make his grand entrance into the world.
I will keep you all posted but in the meantime no news is no news.
Oh, and when I came downstairs this morning, this is what I found.

Love picture of father and son reading paper! Prayers for you as you wait.
Such a great moment in time. I love that photo. Congrats to you and your Jack. The wedding pics are beautiful.
That final picture is so very cute!
Thanks Rachael!
