It is amazing what you can accomplish when you have no plans. This weekend we were able to have a date night complete with dinner at 24 Grill and a show at Red Bull House of Art. Thank you to our sitter!
Saturday we were out the door before 9am. Our mission, breakfast at Brooklyn Street Local and a much needed trip to Recycle Here. Throw in a family trip to Target and you have yourself a happy little Saturday. (Side note: trips to Target with Ryan are so much more efficient than the trips I take alone. He goes in with a list. I go in and make an event of it. My Brain: “OMG! I totally NEED those floral binders and the matching tape dispenser.”)
Sunday morning was warmer than it looked outside. After Jack and I made breakfast smoothies, the family was off to the Riverfront to play on the playground and run wild along the water. We earned so many activity points, we obviously needed to treat ourselves to hot cocoa and Sexy Mexis at Great Lakes Coffee.
In between all the running around, we were able to clean, finish taxes, hang curtains and do all the other things that just need to be done. The things that you put off because you are always so busy doing everything else. This weekend was a fantastic game of catch up and we came out victorious. I think we need to plan more of these days.
With love from Detroit,
Callie
