Auto Prom

with love from detroitThe last time Ryan and I looked this fancy was at our wedding. Before that, Senior Prom. That is why the North American International Auto Show is so properly dubbed “Auto Prom.” That’s right. We know how to keep it classy (see below for full sarcastic effect.)

After a five star meal at the World renowned Detroit Olga’s, we were off to the big event. Cars, cars and more cars. Sure, that was great, but what I enjoyed most was the crazy good people watching. Women in gorgeous gowns. Men in fabulous tuxedos. Women waddling in uncomfortable heels and inappropriately dressed. I am an equal opportunity gawker.

I am no one to judge. My shoes did not last the entire evening. But that did not matter because we looked good. So good, they put us on the tele. I’M A STAR! You can tell I was made for television by my “above it all”/disinterested appearance (that’s acting people.) Sidenote: If I get super famous, I may have to find a ghostwriter. I will be too busy doing the things celebrities do.

If you still have yet to go to the North American International Auto Show, GO. If you weren’t able to make it to the charity preview, don’t sweat it. Wear a gown/tuxedo anyhow and then tweet me the pic @withlovefromdet.

With love from Detroit,

Callie
