We lived in New York for a few years before coming back to Michigan. When we go back to visit, we get a chance to do a few of our favorite NYC things.
Had a coffee with milk from the corner vendor. For some reason, I believe they have perfected the coffee:milk ratio. This is a skill I cannot seem to master.
Had a fantastic day date with my main squeeze. Shopping+ Ryan + Lunch = Perfection.
Met with friends for dinner and finally had an excuse to wear my new dress from H&M. Buyer beware. If you sit in a white pleather booth on a hot summer day while wearing a $25 dress, you might leave a, not so chic, butt print behind. Oops.
We went to our old neighborhood and happily ran the reservoir. I can be happy about running in a place like Central Park. Plus I knew there was a Jamba Juice in my future. Anyone can feel good about running when there is a Peanut Butter Mood in their future.
Our last day there went a little something like this. Food, drinks, food, beer garden and…
…drum roll please
THE SHAKE SHACK!!! In all it’s cheeseburger, milkshake and cheese fries glory. I vote that we seriously start campaigning for one in Detroit. Who’s with me?
Thanks to all the friends who dropped everything to hang out with us all weekend. We love you, miss you and cannot wait to visit again soon.
With love from Detroit,
Callie
